1. What was your inspiration for the Spicy Caramel Pork you served at the Classic?
I love to pair sweet and spicy. This caramel is the perfect balance for the smokiness of the pork. It engages all of your taste buds at once, just like everything else we serve at Sweet Chili.
2. What style of beer would you recommend to pair with it?
I recommend fruity beers like Abita Purple Haze or hoppy Pale Ales that can stand up to the richness of the pork.
3. What do you enjoy most about serving at the Classic?
The Classic is our favorite event of the year! From the production team to the super fun and friendly attendees, the energy is so positive and everyone is so enthusiastic about our dishes.
4. Tell us about another popular dish you offer at Sweet Chili.
All of our creations are balances of sweet, spicy, salty and sour. Our sriracha fries are known as our most addictive dish. Crispy shoestring fries with two types of sriracha: sweet and spicy, plush sriracha aioli. Eat just one fry, I dare you!
5. What do you love about living in NYC?
I live in a city where I can get any type of food at any time of the day. 5 AM craving? No problem. The options are endless; I could eat at a new restaurant every day. Where else can you do that?
