A recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Sophie is a Badger full of fresh ideas...and cheese (probably bacon-infused). She recently moved to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, where you can find her baking breakfast muffins or getting stuck on the R train.
She can’t wait to relocate to a new ‘hood where her commute to work doesn’t take as long as aging whiskey; churning butter; hand painting the Brooklyn Bridge; growing, cutting and decorating a small Christmas tree; finding Carmen Sandiego; or making five day cured, oven roasted turkey with braised collard greens, candied sweet potato and cornbread crisp (shout out to JestGreen, the masterminds behind that delicious recipe!)
Name: Sophie Dubuisson
Job Title: Associate Event Producer
Hometown: Duxbury, MA
Describe yourself in 3 words: Outgoing. Friendly. Kind.
Who is your celebrity crush? SO MANY PEOPLE. But right now I'd say Theo James
What is your favorite craft beer, cider or cocktail? I like margaritas and mojitos. Or Spotted Cow--it's a Wisconsin beer :)
What is your favorite bacon dish? Ooooh this is tough....I really like BLATs (Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado, Tomato)
Where can we find you on the weekends? Exploring the city or hanging out with friends
What is your favorite restaurant in NYC? As of now I think I'd say Tía Pol. It's this little Spanish tapas place in Hell's Kitchen and I think I died and went to heaven when I tried their fried custard balls.
What is your best memory from a Cannonball Productions event? I remember just being so excited working my very first event, Lions, Tigers, and Brews, on my third day of my summer internship last year. I had so much fun working with and getting to know the Cannonball Team. I have a distinct memory of Kate digging out throw-up from the slop sink, and being asked to remove ice we had poured on the grass because it would "damage the property"...If the grass can't handle ice, what do they do when it snows?! Who knows.
